Cartoony brawler WWE 2K BattleGrounds is getting a fresh roster update with Ric Flair, Roddy Piper, Bret Hart and more, plus a new arena.
Ring the bell
Released earlier this year for consoles and the PC, 2020’s WWE title looked a bit different than usual. Okay, a lot different. Instead of the sim-like wrestling experience that fans have become accustomed to, 2K delivered a cartoony slugfest of a game.
It was radically different, though pretty fun in a party-game type of way. We reviewed the title and tagged it with a decent 74%. That was upon release though, and since then the game has improved a bit. 2K has added in more create parts, as well as more wrestlers. And as of next week, fans are getting even more.
The third content update for WWE 2K BattleGrounds is coming to all versions of the game, and should be delivered automatically, beginning on the 23rd. It’ll be a staged release, and is a pretty packed one too. Expect to see both iconic and modern superstars included, as well as a Christmas-themed arena to play in.
