Savage returns to Valiant Comics in February

Valiant’s man-out-of-time tale returns when Savage gets a fresh run with a new ongoing series in 2021. Expect dinosaurs, wild action, and a dose of comedy.

Not one of the imprint’s bigger uh… heroes, Savage hasn’t been seen since its initial run a while back. Now though, the book is returning, and with an all-star creative team heading up what sounds like a pretty interesting arc.

Writer Max Bemis is taking over the scripting on the new series, with artist Nathan Stockman onboard as well. The two will be telling a new Savage-tale with the titular character now living far from his prehistoric home, and smack dab in the middle of London.

Kevin Sauvage, aka Savage, grew up on a remote island populated by bloodthirsty dinosaurs and terrifying marauders. The wild child knew only one thing: survival. Now, he’s living in London and has become a breakout viral sensation. As Savage learns to live in his new environment, a taste of home comes to London as dinosaurs invade the city! It’s time for Savage to do what he does best: hunt!

In addition to the dinos, and plenty of action, Bemis also promises that the new series will be stocked with humor. In-particular, British humor. Fans of both should expect to see “Tons of gigantic freaking lizards and Brit-influenced comedy”, according to the writer.

Savage #1 is set to bring the character to the fore of Valiant action this February 17th, 2021.
