Coming to the Switch this month is Ghostrunner, a first-person cyberpunk title that is set to have gamers going on a parkour adventure through its futurescape.
Parkour!
Not talked about quite as much as that other cyberpunk (and I mean that as a genre) game, Ghostrunner is actually looking slick as all get out. The game is set in a neon-lit, futuristic mega-city, and casts gamers as an acrobatic cybernetic hero.
The twist here though, is that this first-person game isn’t a shooter. It actually arms players with a katana, and one that slices and dices with the best of them.
Here’s a look at Ghostrunner in action one Switch:
Now, you’ll notice there that there’s an October 27th release date listed for all platforms. Obviously, that didn’t happen. Ghostrunner is out now for everything else, but the Switch edition was delayed just a tad.
But that wait is almost over, as Ghostrunner will be debuting on the 10th. That’s a big day for gaming in general as it kicks off the next-generation, but if you’re primarily a Nintendo gamer, then this little title might just be the event of the day.
Oh, and if you’re picking up one of those other consoles next week, keep in mind too that Ghostrunner will be making its way there as well. Both the Xbox Series X|S and the PS5 will get editions of the game in 2021.
