Digital gaming superstore has added a whole bunch of console classics today, courtesy of Konami. Metal Gear, Castlevania, and Contra are all up.
We call it… Contra!
When you talk about console-classics, you can’t do much better than Konami’s incredible catalog. The publisher holds a myriad of huge names under its stable, most of which it hasn’t done much with for a while.
Well, hang onto your hats, because a whole mess of those games have now become available for PC gaming. This morning, Konami announced that the recently released Castlevania and Contra collections, as well as a set of Metal Gear games, have become available through GOG.com.
Notable is that Konami didn’t port the most recent Metal Gear collection, which held more games than just these three. So might those be coming up as well, as a part of an a’la carte sales scheme? Maybe.
For now though, this is it. Not that it won’t be enough for some people. Personally, I haven’t played MGS in years and I’m thinking about snagging a copy of that.
