As the PC (and Stadia) version of Darksiders Genesis arrives on digital storefronts, the console edition officially enters pre-order.
One more ride on the dark side
I have to admit, this news has me a little confused. I’ve had a pre-order in for the special edition of Darksiders Genesis for a while. So it makes little sense to me that there’s an announcement about the pre-order phase for the game this week.
Maybe it was only the collector’s editions that were on pre-order before? No idea. Either way though, there are a bunch of incentives that definitely have just been announced if you do pre-order now.
There is a slight caveat though, in that you have to pre-order for the Xbox One or PS4. For some reason, it looks like the pre-order goodies won’t extend to the Switch edition.
As for what prospective players on the other two platforms will get, it’s not too shabby.
- 24-hour Early Access,
- a 10% discount on the game (undiscounted SRP: $39.99, €39.99, £34.99)
- and different Phantom Steed skins (visible in all zones/areas where you can mount in-game)*
This might not be earth-shattering stuff, but it’s also not bad, especially if you know you’re going to be grabbing a copy anyway. Again though, that’s something that you’re going to have to wait for if you’re a console gamer. Until February 14th, 2020 to be exact.
