Huge, mean, and tagged with a disturbing name, Code Vein’s “Insatiable Despot” is the subject of the latest look at the title in action.
Drawing blood
Bandai Namco’s anime-inspired horror title Code Vein is coming up on retail launch soon, and still looking sharp. The game is drenched with blood, and looks like it’s in the vein (excuse the pun) of titles like the Souls series.
It also looks like it’ll be starring some massive boss characters. Take the Insatiable Despot here for example. Questionable name aside, the Despot towers over the player. A truly gigantic villain, the creature wields a selection of massive blades which it uses in a “flurry of attacks”.
When I said that Code Vein was coming up on retail launch soon, I meant it. Though it hasn’t gotten much in the way of press, the game is closing on a September 27th release date.
From the trailer above and the preview art that we’ve run, it certainly seems like something that fans of the genre should be looking out for. And you can’t deny that that anime aesthetic is something actually different when it comes to games like this.
Expect to see Code Vein land on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
