Finally, after a brief delay, Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor – Martyr has it’s beastly expansion. The Prophesy adds new enemies, a new class, and more.
Expanding a universe
We reviewed Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor – Martyr to some acclaim, tagging it with an 84%. The first action/RPG to be set in the 40k universe, it did a ton right. Inquisitor – Martyr was not only a fun time, but especially a joy if you happen to be a fan of the source material since it gave players a huge and varied galaxy to play in.
Enter the new expansion, Prophesy though, and things are getting even bigger.
Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Prophecy introduces a fourth playable class, the Tech-Adept Inquisitor with unique summoning abilities. The story of Inquisitor – Martyr continues in three brand new chapters where players can discover sacred monasteries, perilous research sanctums, unforgiving deserts and ruthless worlds churning with molten lava and purge endless waves of Aeldari and Tyranids – two new enemy races introduced in Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Prophecy.
NeocoreGames press release
Officially an expansion pack for the base game, Prophesy is more or less self contained. From the press release, it seems like you don’t even need the original to run it.
Prophesy is available right now on the PC, with Xbox One and PS4 editions on the way. Also right now, if you own the base game you’ll get 30% off the cover price of the new adventure on Steam.
