What’s going to be announced at Comic Con this year? That’s anyone’s guess, though Entertainment Earth will be the first place to find out.
Marvel? Star Wars?
SDCC is a huge venue for new announcements, no matter what arm of the entertainment industry you’re referring to. And in the last decade or so, it’s gotten to be the number two event of the year for new toys, behind only Toy Fair International in NYC.
So with that in mind, there are going to be plenty of announcements coming out of Hasbro. If you’re unaware, Hasbro is the license holder of Star Wars and Marvel Comics/Studios, as well as a load of their own in-house brands like G.I. Joe and Transformers.
Entertainment Earth, on the flip side, will be having a panel of their own and always puts up a huge booth (#2343) of stuff for sale at the Con. And since they carry their products, they are also pretty tight with Hasbro. This year too, they have a special agreement worked out.
EE will be revealing one new announcement from the toy giant per day, for the next three days. These will be at 5:30pm pacific time each day, and really… could be anything. The only way to know for sure is to tune in.
