Pre-orders begin for The Sinking City as new trailer arrives

A brand new gameplay trailer for Bigben and Frogwares’ The Sinking City debuted this week. As it would happen, the pre-order period kicked off too.

Sinking feeling

It’s a delicate matter, The Sinking City’s latest trailer. No really, it’s called A Delicate Matter. The latest video look at the Cthulhu-inspired game showcases a mission that can be started “a few hours” into the game called A Delicate Matter.

During this mission, Mr. Throgmorthon, head of one of the leading families in Oakmont, asks Charles to look into a delicate matter: a receiver of stolen art has disappeared just before closing the sale of a valuable item, and Throgmorthon wants it back at all costs. As the investigation unfolds, the player finds out that the story is far more complicated than it first seemed. Without being prompted by the game, the player must question more and more witnesses throughout the town, and use logic to get to the bottom of things.

Bigben press release

Along with that look at gameplay, The Sinking City has also officially hit the pre-order phase. That includes a trio of editions.

The Standard version is just that, the vanilla copy, while the Day One edition includes the Investigation Pack DLC and a physical map of the game’s locale.

If you can eschew the map though, the digital Necronomicon Edition is probably the best bang for the buck. Well, it is if you’re in for the long haul. That one includes all the extra downloadable goodies.
