Addams Family returning in new animated film

The classic creepy, kooky family is back. This time The Addams Family is getting animated with a new adventure hitting theaters this fall.

Most fans of The Addams Family should remember the live action movies. Both of them were pretty great, and are still held in fairly high regard. Now though, MGM is bringing the iconic clan back once again, but this time they’re a little more… animated.

Get ready to snap your fingers! The Addams Family is back on the big screen in the first animated comedy about the kookiest family on the block. Funny, outlandish, and completely iconic, the Addams Family redefines what it means to be a good neighbor.

The first thing you might notice about the trailer above is that it’s done nearly 100% in the classic Addams Family comic strip style. Mostly anyway, those designs are incredibly authentic to the originals. That means super cartoony looking with exaggerated looks. Honestly, it comes off shockingly well.

Of course all the classic characters are present too. Although there’s little hinted at in terms of story. I assume though, that we’ll get more on that as we get closer to the eventual launch.

That’s going to be timely too, with The Addams Family landing in theaters this October the 11th. Just in time for Halloween.
