Remember Tim Kitzrow, the voice of NBA JAM? Well, he’s back, but he’s not doing color commentary in a basketball game. This time, he’s calling Rage.
He’s on fire!
Yes, it’s true. No, it’s not an April Fool’s joke that’s being held over too long. The famed voice of the classic arcade B-Ball title, Tim Kitzrow is bringing some of his most famous one-liners to Bethesda’s post-post-apocalyptic FPS Rage 2.
Now that’s awesome. Kitzrow isn’t present in the game as it is of course, that’d be a little too out there, even for Rage 2. Instead, his voiceover is part of a cheat code.
The code is news in and of itself really since cheats aren’t all that common these days. And it makes you wonder how many others might be floating around in the shooter sequel. As for this one, the “He’s on fire” cheat is officially a pre-order exclusive, and will come with the game… somehow. It’s actually not elaborated in the press release. Though I assume, like with most of these kinds of things, it’ll be emailed to pre-buyers.
Included with the code are fresh recordings from Kitzrow, of both classic and “Rage-ified” lines. None of that in the above video was old, it’s all new. And you’ll get everything from “POW POW PUPPY CHOW” to “REJECTEEEEED”. That should spice things up nicely.
Rage 2 lands on consoles and the PC on May 14th.
