Nintendo ends 2018 with a somewhat anemic Nintendo Download. Then again, what’d you expect there to be between Christmas and New Year’s?
Out with the old
There’s no denying that the Switch had an awesome 2018, and that means Nintendo did too. Becoming the fastest selling console (over the first 21 months) of the current generation, the Switch has returned maker Nintendo to greatness, and given fans a reason to smile again.
A big part of all that success was the slate of games that the Switch saw grace it since launching in 2017. This year in particular saw a ton of awesome stuff, and that includes titles from the indie sector. That was a big focus for Nintendo this gen, and its paid off.
So there’s plenty to play on the Switch if you just nabbed one for the Holidays. And that’s a good thing, since this week’s Download isn’t too stacked. But again, that’s to be expected since the period we’re in right now isn’t conducive to really anything “big time” seeing release.
Don’t worry, there’s plenty more on the horizon. And in the meantime who knows? You might see something this week that you just have to check out.
Happy New Year folks, here’s the last Nintendo Download of 2018:
