Udon is publishing a Street Fighter: Summer Sports Special, and they want your art

Capcom’s favorite comic book and art tome publisher Udon is getting another Street Fighter special edition ready for the racks. And this time, they want your art for its sun-drenched pages.

Beach, blanket, Hadoken!

In past years, they’ve brought you a swimsuit special or two, and now Udon is at it again. Only this time around, things are a little different. Not that the book itself will be disappointing anyone, as it sounds like it’ll be right in line with past editions.

The 2018 Street Fighter: Summer Sports Special will star everyone’s favorite World Warriors, though they won’t be sparing. Instead the crew from the Street Fighter series will be showing off their tans, in this book of pin-ups. And while the issue will be stocked with pieces by Udon’s crew of artists, they’re also looking for a little something extra from their readers.

You’ll be able to work up a drawing of your favorite Street Fighter in this competition, and send it in to the publisher. The prize? Possible inclusion in the issue itself.

Of course, there are a few ground rules. And they are:

• artwork must feature at least one character from the STREET FIGHTER video game series
• you may not include characters from other Capcom or non-Capcom games/properties
• characters not allowed include those exclusive to the Street Fighter EXseries, and the character of Ingrid
• you may not include your own original characters
• artwork may be sexy but no nudity please
• artwork should not feature alcohol, smoking, or drug use.
• by submitting your artwork, you are giving UDON permission to publish it in the Street Fighter: Summer Sports Special in 2018. along with
• your name or pseudonym
• your country and state
• please feel free to show off your submission online any time! We’d love if you add the hashtag #SFcomicfanart
• all art styles are welcome
• ideal artwork shape is 7 x 11″. While low resolution previews are used for submissions, we suggest you create your artwork at 300 dpi+ (if selected, we may request the higher resolution file from you for printing)
• artwork submission deadline is June 5th, 2018
