The Facts
Released by Nintendo on Aug. 24, the trailer outlines the abilities new and old Samus will use during her hunt for the Metroids on Planet SR388. Old favorites like the Ice Beam and Space Jump make appearances, while new skills like the Melee Counter and and Lightning Armor offer new opportunities and strategies during combat.
The trailer also outlines the many different bonuses players will receive through the game’s Amiibo support, from items and upgrades to the more difficult Fusion mode.
“Metroid: Samus Returns” is set for release on Sept. 15, 2017 for the 3DS.
