Marvel is hyped for Spider-Man’s newest ongoing series, the revival of Spectacular Spider-Man. How hyped? They’re prepping a series of parties for local comic shops.
Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man
Much like this comic itself, launch parties for comics are nothing new. Marvel has had a few itself over the years, and they’re a fun time for al involved. LCS’ are all decked out in flashy promo material, and fans get a little something extra special when they go to get the celebrated book.
Marvel has a slate of variant covers planned for the book, as well as cool bonus items for stores who participate. So what might those be? Well, stores that “qualify” for them, will receive bundles of:

So lots of cool stuff on tap for the launch of the new book, which will see Parker getting back to his roots. Far from the world-spanning hero in Amazing or Spider-Man and Deadpool, Spectacular Spider-Man will bring the web-head back to NYC. Yep, it’s the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man all over again.
Sounds promising honestly, especially for long time fans, who prefer the homegrown hero sticks to the New York skyline for his adventures. Watch for it at retail on June 21st.
