NYCC 2016: Dark Horse unveils programming schedule

It’s NYCC time once again, and you bet that Dark Horse Comics will have a full slate of panels, autographs and more.

As with every con, year in and out, Dark Horse has a packed booth ad panel room at this coming NYCC. New York is one of the biggest cons in the country of course, so that should come as a surprise to no one.

At their booth, the publisher will have a bevy of free autograph sessions available to fans. All of them will be funneled into two stages, the Hellboy stage and the Legend of Zelda stage. The former is a given, and while you might be surprised to see the latter, remember that Dark Horse has The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts coming up as well.

War comics switched perspective to the men deep in the conflict in War Stories and the new series World of Tanks: Roll Out. Join the expert panel of war comic scribes Garth Ennis (World of Tanks: Roll Out), Larry Hama (G.I. Joe), and Ethan Young (Nanjing: The Burning City) to explore the war comics tradition.

For years, Asian comics creators have been doing incredible work furthering the medium of sequential art. With Eisner Award–winning storytelling and phenomenal artistic expression, Asian-Pacific Americans have begun a movement within the comic business. Join Greg Pak (Kingsway West), Ethan Young (Nanjing: The Burning City), and Vivek Tiwary (The Fifth Beatle: The Brian Epstein Story) for a fascinating conversation on embracing Asian culture in comics, moderated by YouTube personality Shyaporn Theerakulstit.
