Animated properties were still in effect at this year’s Con, but Icons, Suicide Squad, and Wonder Woman have taken over DC Collectibles.
Update: Now with more figure shots, and booth pics!
The original story still runs right below the new gallery, but here are even more shots of DC Collectibles’ newest. Oh, and we squeezed in a few pics from the booth of the Wonder Woman and Suicide Squad costumes too.
Icons
One of the most impressive lines out there right now, DC Icons is extremely impressive. The line is loaded up with articulation and accessories, with terrific sculpting. There’ve been a few waves s far, but honestly, the best is yet to come if this year’s press event at the SDCC is anything to go by.
On display were Rebirth versions of DC’s heavy hitters, as well as some stuff that we can’t quite talk abut yet. Trust me though, you’re gonna like it.
Animated
A classic flavor of DC if ever there was one. DC’s stylized, animated shows were the best -bar none- superhero carts anywhere for a long time.
This year’s presentation saw the Batman line expand with new Riddler and Catwoman figures, as well as some incredible stuff that we can’t talk about just yet. The biggest news though, was the pair of Superman figures.
Both Superman and Lois Lane will be hitting as a 2-pack next July. Yes, that’s a long way off, but man are they gonna be worth it. Fingers crossed that we get a whole line.
Suicide Squad
Easily a most-anticipated movie of the summer season, Suicide Squad is getting all kinds of buzz at the Con. There’s a reason for that of course, it looks freaking awesome. And DC Collectibles will be right there to scratch that itch when you just gotta take something home from the film.
Super-lifelike and very impressive, the statue line has been seen before. I think it deserves a re-presentation though, just ’cause.
Wonder Woman
Another DC property that’s waiting to blow up big time, Wonder Woman is being celebrated across the SDCC. The character’s 75th anniversary will not only see a glut of new WW merch’, but also the first feature film starring the character.
DC Collectibles had a nice display on hand for their event, which you can get a peek at below.
And the rest…
There was plenty more on hand at the Con aside from the above. Most impressive were the Bombshells figures, the DCTV two-pack (with Arrow and Flash) and the movie-centric figures, which are still on the way. They’ve been shown for a while now, but sit tight, you will get that freaking awesome Zod eventually.
