A sci-fi mystery, Breached arrives later this month

Stranded on an alien world, can you survive the harsh wilderness of Breached?

Nice looking game, no? And kind of unique too. Breached has a roughly two hour play time, total. That might seem way too short, but this is a game that’s meant to be played quick, and gives you ample reason to experience it’s narrative multiple times. Every time you play the game, you’ll uncover more of the mystery at hand.

You awaken as Corus Valott, long lost in cryogenic slumber, to find your shelter damaged by unknown circumstances. The land and settlements around you have crumbled to ruin, broken buildings and jagged shards all that remains. Confused and isolated, you’re compelled to repair the shelter, explore the ruins and scavenge your surroundings, in hopes of uncovering – or perhaps avoiding – the uncomfortable truth of what has transpired.

Oh, and while you’re doing all that, keep in mind that you only have 8 (in-game) days of oxygen to figure all this out. And with that kind of limitation, there’s only so much you can do in a single play through, and you’ll have plenty of tasks.

  • Data Mining
Guide Corus through his journal and pilot his mind. Explore previous entries by linking tags, helping Corus decipher his thoughts.
  • Drone Expeditions
The environment has many stories to tell. Pilot drones to scavenge deserted locations, but beware of anomalies.
  • Puzzle Solving
Combine materials you’ve scavenged to repair your shelter and maximize fuel generation to aid in your survival.
  • Energy Management
You have enough oxygen to last 8 days. Choose your actions carefully or risk suffocation.

A survival story loaded up with ample bits of sci-fi, Breached hits Steam (and other digital retailers) for the PC on June 22nd.
