Mortal Kombat X celebrates one year on mobile

Check out the bone-crunching, neck-snapping anniversary trailer for Mortal Kombat X’s mobile game after the break.

Snap, crackle, pop gets a whole new meaning in that one. The trailer isn’t just to celebrate a date not he calendar of course, it’s also to show off some the new stuff in NetherRealm’s popular portable version of MKX.

The game’s been a hit on pretty much every platform it’s graced and, though it plays more like a card-battler than a brawler (albeit one with 3 on 3 matches), mobile has been no different. And with the latest update, there’s a bunch of new content including an overhaul to the Faction Wars (complete with mode-specific currency), brand new characters challenges and rewards.

So lots to like there, and plenty to pull you back in if you haven’t played for a while. Click here to grab a copy on the Apple App Store or here to get the Android edition.
