Star Wars: The Force Awakens home video release dated

$2.05 billion globally, The Force Awakens is Ready for more The Force Awakens?

After making almost a billion domestically here in the US, and $2.05 billion globally, The Force Awakens is coming to home video with a release that promises a bit more than what you saw in the theaters. Announced yesterday at the Disney shareholder meeting, the disc will come packed with “in-depth documentary and bonus material” that, let’s face it, you’re going to want to see if you’re a Star Wars devotee.

As you can see in the trailer above, you can expect to see behind the scenes stuff, interviews with both cast and crew, and some deleted scenes. It’s probably worth it for that last bit alone, since Kylo Ren inside the Falcon is pretty damn interesting if you’ve seen the movie. Since there are snow troopers in the ship along with him, that probably takes place on Starkiller Base… interesting.

So when can you expect to see all this Star Wars-y goodness in your own home? On April 1st via digital formats (including Disney Movies Anywhere) and on Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD on April 5.
