Star Wars: Episode VIII has officially started filming

Begun, this production has.

Star Wars: Episode VIII is still a ways off, with a scheduled release date of December 15th, 2017. Even so though, that has to get you excited for what’s to come. And we actually did get a little taste of what the first minutes of the movie might be like.

Since director Rian Johnson announces a pretty proud “welcome to episode VIII” at the close of the clip there, it’s probably pretty safe to assume that the next film in the series that’s not called Rogue One will pick up right where Episode VII left off. No, that’s not much to go on, but at least it’s something, no?

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
