The Escapists The Walking Dead coming to PS4 in February

Robert Kirkman’s living dead empire gets another expansion as the Escapists, developed by Team 17, merges with The Walking Dead’s comic universe.

The game features pixelated likeness of beloved characters and situations ripped straight from the comic series. Starting out as Rick Grimes waking up after spending an unspecified amount of time in the hospital in a coma.

Throughout the game, players will move through the comic story arcs living the classic dialogue and situations from the comic series. According to the playstation blog post, the game will take players through the first 83 issues of the comic.

The game will include a robust crafting system, allowing players to create items and tools to help them in their post apocalyptic mission. Playing as Rick, the player will make headcounts and clear compounds of the living dead, according to the playstation blog post.

The game will launch on Playstation 4 on Feb. 16, 2016, right after the midseason premier of The Walking Dead on AMC, on Feb. 14. The Escapists The Walking Dead has previously released on the Xbox One and Steam.
