LEGO Marvel’s Avengers DLC to be free for PlayStation gamers

Like Captain America: Civil War and Ant-Man? Then your going to want to pick up a PayStation version of LEGO Marvel’s Avengers.

Releasing towards the end of this month, LEGO Marvel’s Avengers is the latest in Traveller’s Tales’ series of games based on both the LEGO brand of toys and the Marvel Universe’s branch of it. There’ve been no shortage of LEGO games over the years of course, but this is the first one since the launch of the LEGO Dimensions ‘toys-to-life’ platform, so it should be interesting to see how it fairs.

Since it’ll be getting a dose of free DLC though, it should attract plenty of fans. To take advantage of the freebies, you’ll need to be a PlayStation gamer, as the content will be offered only on the PS3 and the PS4. And I mean that not just in terms of it being free of charge. Both the Ant-Man and the Cap sets are only going to be available on the PlayStation home consoles… for now anyway.

And we’re not just talking some little bonuses here either, as both packs contain a load of characters (that you can use in the main game) and some special themed-levels. Here’s what you get:

The Captain America: Civil War pack includes:

  • Agent 13
  • Black Panther
  • Captain America
  • Crossbones
  • Falcon
  • Iron Man
  • Scarlet Witch
  • War Machine
  • Winter Soldier

The Ant-Man pack includes:

  • Ant-Man
  • Cassie Lang
  • Darren Cross
  • Hank Pym
  • Hope Van Dyne
  • Luis
  • Scott Lang
  • The Wasp
  • Yellowjacket

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
