The much anticipated sequel to 2013’s re imagining of Lara Croft’s adventures just got a Steam release date.
In a press release, Square Enix announced early Tuesday morning that Rise of the Tomb Raider will be releasing for Steam and Windows 10 on Jan. 28, 2016.
The game was first announced as an Xbox One and Xbox 360 exclusive, to the disappointment of gamers and fans of Croft’s latest adventure. News soon broke, though, that the game would be on a timed exclusive release.
According to Square Enix’s press release, the game will be available as a digital download on Steam, from Square Enix’s electronic store. Amazon, and other major retailers. The standard edition will retail at $59.99, while the deluxe edition, granting access to most DLC, will retail at $89.99.
A collectors edition, including the deluxe edition, a 12-inch Lara Croft® statue, replicas of Lara’s journal and jade necklace, and a steel case, will also be available from the Square Enix e-store for $149.99, the release confirmed.
The information released did not say anything about potential Playstation 3 or Playstation 4 releases.
