The mess that is Arkham Knight continues to stagger.
It’s really quite unbelievable what’s been happening with Batman: Arkham Knight. What should have been a universally celebrated game, the ending to the Arkham franchise, is instead rolling into a mess for PC gamers that seems to be destined to not come to any kind of definitive conclusion. I’ve read a bunch of tweets from gamers who’ve said that the game would heave been one of their favorites of the year but for the load of problems that it’s run into, which is really kind of sad. And these problems don’t seems to have an end point, even after being yanked form Steam and worked on for another almost half-year.
Since the game has been added back onto Valve’s download platform, some gamers have had less issues with it, and some about the same. All in all though, the game just doesn’t run the way it should, and as a result Warner Bros has said that they’ll refund the money of anyone who bought or will buy either it or its season pass between now and the end of calendar 2015.
It’s a bold move, but one that really needed to be done. If for nothing else than to try and stave off the pr nightmare that would have re-started. As it stands now though, if you really want to play Batman: Arkham Knight, it’s best that you look for it on another platform, as the publisher also wants that, although they’ll continue to work on it, Arkham Knight on the PC might never be truly fixed completely.
