Star Wars Battlefront Beta dated, coming early next month

Get that blaster shined up and prepare for the jump to light-speed, Star Wars Battlefront’s beta officially has a start date.

Pretty easily one of the most looked forward to games of the year, Star Wars Battlefront from EA is looking like the rebirth of the multiplayer franchise that everyone wants it to be. For a while now, we’ve known that there was a beta test on the way for the game, and it’s just about here.

Arriving pretty darn soon actually, the Battlefront beta is all set and ready to hit the Xbox One, the PS4, and the PC (via Origin, natch) on October 8th. You’ll have to play while you can though, as the beta will last only till the 12th, which gives you four days of blasting and saber flashing.

After that, you’ll have to wait till the game hits retail, which isn’t till November 17th.
