Turtle Beach launches Star Wars-themed Rebel headset

You already know about the forthcoming Sandtrooper headset on the way, but the Rebel Alliance has a headset as well, based on the appearance of the famed X-Wing pilots’ gear.

I defy you to not want this headset.

For starters, it’s deco’d up to look like an X-Wing pilot’s gear, and Star Wars is just about as hot as it has ever been at present. To follow that up, it’s universal and will work with just about everything, has a pretty low cost of entry, and it’s from Turtle Beach- so you know it goes pretty heavy on the quality.

Features? We got your feature:

  • Star Wars-Themed Design – Turtle Beach’s X-Wing Pilot headset design is inspired by the signature orange jumpsuits worn by the Starfighter pilots of the Rebel Alliance.
  • Full-Range Audio – Hear Star Wars the way it’s meant to be heard through 40mm Neodymium speakers that deliver sizzling highs and thundering lows.
  • Convenient Controls – In-line controls offer users convenient access to Master Volume and Mic Mute, right at their fingertips.
  • Be Heard Loud & Clear – Team-up with friends and chat in online multiplayer games with an adjustable, high-sensitivity boom mic which can quickly and easily be removed when listening to music and watching movies.
  • Lightweight & Comfortable – The headset features Turtle Beach’s new lightweight design, ready to provide hours of comfort.
  • Versatile – Fans can use the Star WarsX-Wing Pilot headset for playing games like Star Wars™ Battlefront, and also use it to enjoy their favorite movies, music and more.

Lots to like there. I have a Turtle Beach headset myself, which I use pretty often, and for what it’s worth I like it a lot. I haven’t bought a pair in years though and I’d be lying if I said these weren’t pretty attractive buys for me. I’m a sucker for that paint scheme alone…

As for when you can expect to see these bad boys in the local electronics or game shop (or online retailer), the date of arrival is set for November. That’s just before The Force Awakens arrives in theaters on December 18th. But you already knew that.

The X-Wing Pilot Gaming Headset will cost you $49.95 USD.
