It looks like Activision and Freestyle Games’ newest take on the classic Guitar Hero franchise is going to offer more than we’d been led to believe. Yes, it’s karaoke time.
The music festivals are awesome spectacles to play against, and as I’ve mentioned in my preview of the game, actually do get you a little bit unnerved. It’s one thing to play while looking up at a bunch of animated characters, and another to actually be looking out at a crowd of very real people. It’s also freaking cool.
Cooler still though, is that GHL will offer singing once again, something that fans had gotten used to in the later editions of the game released years back. It looks almost exactly how you remember it too, which is just fine since there’s really nothing to change about it.
There’s no mention as to whether singing will be exclusive to the campaign mode either, so I think it’s probably safe to assume that it’ll be available to GHTV as well. And that means that there’ll be an almost unlimited supply of music videos to strum and vocalize to.
You won’t have too much longer to wait to do either one either, as Guitar Hero Live hits the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, and Wii U on October 20th.
