One of the games highlighted from Devolver Digital and shown off at the Sony E3 press event yesterday, Mother Russia Bleeds is an old school brawler, with buckets of gore, and weirdness aplenty.
So yeah, I think I need to play this thing as soon as is humanly possible. If it plays anywhere near as good as it looks, Mother Russia Bleeds from Le Cartel is going to be a winner. It’s actually even got a pretty neat story, if you can believe that.
Based in an alternate history version of Russia during the Soviet era, MRB stars a group of street fighters (no, not those street fighters) who must battle their way to freedom while also fighting against a severe drug addiction. And I’m guessing the drugs are where all those weirdo visuals come in. Looks awesome though, and definitely has something of a Hotline Miami feel to it, which is a good thing.
More than just a brawler too, MRB features a campaign that you can play co-operatively either in the same room or online, as well as challenge and even versus modes. Lots to like there.
Hitting the PS4 and PC right in the jaw, Mother Russia Bleeds is coming soon.
