Kratos might not be getting a new adventure on Sony’s newest machine just yet, but he will definitely ba making an appearance via a God of War III remake.
Sony has officially taken the wraps off the remaster of God of War III via the PlayStation Blog. The game, which comes on the 10th anniversary of of the series’ debut and repaints Sony Santa Monica’s 2010 title, will feature 1080p resolution and, oddly enough, a photo mode. Not that God of War has ever really been a series where gamers stop and gawk at the ‘pretty scenery’ but now you’ll be able to do just that and snap a few pics for your digital collection. Of course, it also looks like you’ll be able to take some shots of battle scenes as well. And, though we’re not sure how that’s set to work in the heat of combat, that should provide for some pretty cool pictures.
Interestingly enough, the end of the article on the Blog sort of, kind of, hints at something else that might be in the offing. Could there be a new God of War title on the horizon? Who knows honestly, but I don’t doubt for a second that something is being worked on somewhere.
As for what we know is real and on the way, God of War Remastered is heading to the PS4 this coming July. You can read the original post, and see a bunch of cool screenshots, by clicking here.
