Check out February and May’s Nintendo Amiibo releases in full

It’s going to be a busy few months for Nintendo fans.

Nintendo’s toys-to-life figure line is ramping up and hitting it’s stride to some degree here in 2015, and the year has barely begun. Not only did the company just outline way better how the little figures are going to make your Wii U time a little more fun past Super Smash Bros, but they also introduced the special Super Mario Bros series of toys that’ll be arriving in conjunction with Mario Party 10.

Past all that though, there’s still the core series of Amiibo that are tied to no particular game (though you could make a case for SSB). Those figures are set to move forward too, with two more series past the just released series 2 that hit last month. The third set will include Rosalina, Bowser, Lucario, Toon Link, Sheik, Ike, Shulk, Sonic the Hedgehog, Mega Man (at least somebody loves the blue bomber), King Dedede, and Meta Knight, and will arrive on store shelves some time in February.

May will bring on another round of the plastic pals as well and that fourth wave will include Robin, Lucina, Wario (disappointed with his outfit), Charizard, Pac-Man, and Ness.

So it looks like there should be a whole lot of Amiibo coming to your Wii U this year the way that the first few months are loaded up with three assortments of them, and with Nintendo exploring offshoot lines like the SMB set, there could be some chances for more series specific characters too. I’d love to see a Punch-Out!! series, or something based on classic Super Mario titles like SMB3 and Mario 2 (USA). Who knows, maybe we’ll see some interesting things pop up around Toy Fair time next month, or at E3 in July. Sit tight folks, Nintendo isn’t done with Amiibo, not by a long shot.

About Jason Micciche
