Play a little Dying Light before you can play Dying Light

The newest trailer for Techland’s Dying Light is more than a video, it’s an interactive experience that’s actually really neat and should give you a good taste of what’s to come.

So what choices did you make? Did you save the survivor? Investigate the red smoke? Tackle the mob, or take to the rooftops? I made it all the way through on my first try and did a bunch of really cool things, including a few that I actually went back and re-explored in further playthroughs. That’s pretty awesome when you’re talking about a simple video, no matter how complex it is.

And if the newest trailer is that interesting, imagine what the final game will be like. Techland has quite a solid track record with zombie games after all, and Dying Light looks like it might be the most in-depth and full-realized yet in their catalog.

As for when Dying Light will be headed to the Xbox One, PS4, and PC, it’ll be on the way this January the 27th, 2015.
