Director JJ Abrams’ take on the Star Wars universe is looking more like the first film trilogy, and that’s a very good thing.
Tons to like there, just tons. X-Wings, the Falcon, TIE Fighters, and holy cow that lightsaber- the newest Star Wars set of movies is already looking so much more like the original trilogy than the prequels ever did that they have to give fans a real sense that these are going to be ‘real’ Star Wars movies.
I’m not even the biggest Star Wars fan in the world, and I’m pretty pumped for The Force Awakens after seeing that. The teaser was, at the same time, fresh and new and nostalgic, and that’s a mean feat. If the rest of it’s as solid as the first peek, then fans have a film to seriously get excited about.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens up in theaters December 18th, 2015.
