One of Mortal Kombat’s longest running characters takes a stab at MKX.
For the length of time that Kano here has been around and fighting in Mortal Kombat games, you’d think he’d be more of a fan favorite. I know literally no one who plays MK regularly and actually likes playing as the mercenary cyborg though. That’s a fact that might change though, now that we’ve gotten a look at Mr. K in MKX.
His three variable fighting styles are pretty different and the redesign is honestly awesome-looking, and this comes from someone who’s never much cared for either playing as him, or just the character in general. All three styles have definite advantages in battle too, with a complementary load out for any style of player, ranged, close combat, or those who prefer a mixture of both.
So far, MKX is looking like way more than just a sequel to Mortal Kombat 9, it’s looking like yet another complete reinvention. And, not that the series needed it, but that’s a very good thing as it shows NetherRealm isn’t taking anything for granted with the ‘new’ MK. Mortal Kombat X is expected to arrive for the Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, and PS3 sometime next year.
