Secret Ponchos bringing the gunfight to the PC via Steam Early Access

Originally a PS4 exclusive, Switchblade Monkeys ode to the spaghetti western is hitching its wagon to Steam for a trip to the PC this Summer.

One of the coolest PS4 games coming down the pike is now going to get a wider audience thanks to the announcement that Secret Ponchos is now on the way to the PC as well. Arriving on Steam’s Early Access platform this Summer, gamers will be able to get an early start on the wild western action and actually give some feedback to the developers too- which is something that Switchblade Monkeys’ Yousuf Mapara is pretty excited for.

“Since we first previewed the game at PAX East there has been an overwhelming amount of demand to bring the game to PC in addition to PS4, and we always promised we would do our best,” said Yousuf Mapara, creative director at Switchblade Monkeys. “We realized Early Access would be the perfect program for this; it creates an environment where we can self-fund development of the PC version to make it a reality, in addition to exposing all versions of the game to a broader round of polish and tuning that you can only get when developing with an actual beta community of players.”

Also pretty neat about this latest development is that feedback taken from the Steam version of Secret Ponchos will carry over into the PS4 edition as well. So if there’s something that requires a response from the team, it’ll affect both versions of the game. Kind of an obvious thing, but not something that you really think of honestly and very cool nonetheless.

Secret Ponchos will be showing at PAX East, which is coming up rapidly, and will be available later this year for the PS4 and PC.
