It’s been a long time coming, but the third Age of Wonders is finally upon us.
Turn-based strategy at its finest, Age of Wonders as a franchise has been a favorite of PC gamers since the first game debuted back in 1999 from Triumph Studios. Championing a fairly unique mix of empire building and battling on a grand scale, AoWIII is set to continue the addictive play of the titles that have come before in the series.
The developer is promising a deep tactical experience for players as well as interaction with ‘leader’ class characters. You’ll also notice there’s a brand-new 3D engine at work in AoWIII and it’s looking mighty spiffy if I do say so myself.
Age of Wonders III will be available in both standard and deluxe editions on GOG.com and is one of the first titles to take advantage of the company’s ‘regional pricing’. Basically, that means that the US price will be equal to the local prices for the game.
