Dark Horse Comics’ newest hero takes to the printed page later this month.
Dark Horse, as a publisher, has been delving into the wonderful world of superheroes more than they ever have before as of late- even going so far as to include a few of their new breed of heroes like Captain Midnight, Brain Boy and X in a crossover event. Could this be the beginnings of a new ‘universe’ of good guys and bad guys? Who knows; but they sure do make for good reading.
Probably not a part of any larger universe that’s in the making, but still intriguing nonetheless, is Furious. From Bryan Glass and Victor Santos, Furious is a tale of a super-heroine in an age of the media and paparazzi where every move that the rich and (in her case) famous make is scrutinized into oblivion. From the preview strip to the right, it looks to be a pretty original take on the whole ‘superhero’ theme and include some fresh takes on just what it would mean to have crazy powers and abilities- and still have to survive in the ‘real world’.
The book is set to hit stands the 29th of this month, so mark those calendars.
