Bloodshot and HARD Corps #0 (Comics) Preview

Go back to the very beginnings of Project Rising Spirit in an all-new standalone book that spans the decades of the shadowy paramilitary group- from the 1980’s through today.

Valiant is proud to present an advance preview of Bloodshot and H.A.R.D. Corps: H.A.R.D. Corps #0 – an all-new, standalone introduction to Bloodshot and H.A.R.D. Corps, living weapons of the 80s, 90s and today!

Start reading here on February 26th as acclaimed writers Christos Gage (Superior Spider-Man) and Joshua Dysart (Harbinger Wars) partner up with an all-star cast of artistic talents to reveal the never-before-told origins of Bloodshot’s brothers-in-arms…and declassify three decades worth of the H.A.R.D. Corps’ unsanctioned super-powered incursions into war zones across the globe. But, in the era of analog, Bloodshot and H.A.R.D. Corps’ cutting-edge enhancements are far from perfect and bugs are bound to pop up in the wetware with…disastrous results…

As a zero issue, you might have guessed that this particular chapter in the Bloodshot action series is meant to be a jumping on point. That’s something that Valiant as a publisher tends to hammer home throughout it’s release calendar and it’s a pretty smart tactic when you consider that there are still tons of readers who have yet to take the plunge in the Valiant Universe.

Of course that doesn’t mean that existing readers will be bored by what Bloodshot and H.A.R.D. Corps #0 has to offer. I’ve been following the book since its launch (as plain old Bloodshot) and I’m really looking forward to issue zero for a few reasons.

For starters, Project Rising Spirit is becoming an ever-increasing presence in Valiant’s world and seeing the start and refinement of both it and its ‘projects’ play out seems like it’d be a really great read. It’s also a standalone story (in a way anyway), which I always enjoy. Seeing a self-contained book is a rarity these days and it’s kind of nice (especially if you’re a new or casual reader) to just grab this handy little one-shot and see if the tale floats your boat (spoiler- it probably will).

Bloodshot and H.A.R.D. Corps #0 is also the first of the new series of zeroes that Valiant will be releasing in the first part of 2014. The book, which is packing the excellent talents of Superior Spider-Man’s Christos Gage and Joshua Dysart, will be trailed by Archer & Armstrong: Archer #0, Quantum and Woody: The Goat #0, and Harbinger: Bleeding Monk #0.

If you’re planing your buys, all of those will be hitting stands across February and March of this coming year with Bloodshot and H.A.R.D. Corps #0 landing on February 26th.
