Unity is coming to the Valiant Universe

If you remember the first Unity event from the ‘classic’ Valiant Universe, then you already know this is going to be absolutely massive.

There’s little to no info on the Unity crossover that’s planned for the current Valiant timeline save for the two one-sheet posters we’ve got here for you, but we know plenty about what the name implies.

Unity first erupted waaaaaay back in 1992’s Valiant U (and popped up again in 2000) and featured a storyline of apocalyptic proportions. It set basically the entire Valiant roster up against a single villain called Mothergod looking to erase all of time and rewrite reality into what was her original universe of origin. The miniseries crossed over into all of Valiant’s books at the time and featured some settings and characters that don’t currently exist in the publisher’s stable like Solar: Man of the Atom and Turok’s Lost Land.

As for the upcoming Unity, it looks to include most of the current Valiant heavy-hitters including the always present (and troublemaking) Toyo Harada and Gilad, the Eternal Warrior. It also looks like the main opposition will be X-O Manowar from the posters, though that remains to be seen. X-O is definitely not a villain by any means, but he does have some questionable ideas when it comes to ruling and just what it is that his royal bloodline entitles him to.

It also remains to be seen if there are any time-travel elements in Unity ‘version 3’, though if I had to bet on it I’d say there won’t be as the Valiant Universe is a very different place now than it was in the ’90s. Stay tuned Valiant fans, we’ll have more on Unity as it develops.
