UFO Interactive is set to unleash a new and improved ‘Scourge’ on gamers.
Scourge Project was originally released on the PC back in 2010, but Scourge: Outbreak doesn’t really share too much with that earlier version of the game. According to Ake Mora Temnerud, Studio Director of Tragnarion Studios, it’s better in pretty much every way.
“Scourge: Outbreak looks better, plays better, and is far more fun than The Scourge Project ever was,” said Ake Mora Temnerud, Studio Director of Tragnarion Studios. “It’s a game that our small, humble team is immensely proud of, and we think that once players get into the game, they are really going to enjoy all of the newly-added content and features we’ve added.”
And about those new features, Scourge features 4 player, team-based tactical gameplay over a 6 hour campaign. The game is built for action and not just strategy as well, as it’ll feature a Quick Order System to get your squad out onto the field and into the action as fast as possible. Multiplayer fans can expect a full suite of options there too with Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Capture-The-Flag modes ready to play with a quintet of maps.
Scourge: Outbreak is set to infect Xbox Live this July 3rd (just in time for a lazy Independence Day afternoon) for 800 MS points.
