DST’s Kirk and Spock go planet-side

Diamond Select Toys’ Captain Kirk and Mr Spock lead the away team in a brand new set of pics showing the figures in ‘action’.

The ultimate Star Trek action figures are almost here! Arriving next month, the first two figures in Diamond Select Toys new, deluxe Star Trek line will be a classically-styled Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock, each with interchangeable parts and a diorama base. We got in a couple of packaged samples, and couldn’t wait to bust them open and send them on an away mission! Check out the pics of Kirk and Spock in action on an alien planet – and in the Enterprise’s engineering section – demonstrating their various interchangeable parts, including hands, legs, heads, accessories and more! Pre-order both today at your favorite online retailer or your local comic shop!

I’m more impressed with DST’s Star Trek Select line every time I see it. The first offerings, Kirk and Spock are both fantastic looking homages to the classic versions of both characters from their original Star Trek incarnations.

Past the articulation and interchangeable parts, which all looks pretty great, the accessory figures just put these guys over the top as far as value. I might be a little too excited for them, but then I’m a huge Trek fan and there haven’t been decent figures based on the property since Playmates’ stuff back in the ’90s.

If you can’t wait to beam the original commanding officers of the USS Enterprise onto your shelves, you won’t have much longer to wait as they’ll both be available soon.
