Toy Fair 13: Marvel joins forces with Mr. Potato Head

The spud of justice takes on the guises of a bunch of Marvel Comics’ heaviest hitters in a new line fusing the original starchy Avenger with, well, the Avengers.

PPW Toys, under license from Hasbro and Marvel, will be producing a line of toys aimed at collectors that’s based on exactly this concept when potato-ized versions of Marvel’s heroes hit toy stores soon.

Like other co-licensed Spuds developed from PPW Toys, the new Marvel line is being designed with collectors in mind from the start.  The attention to detail, scale and consistent design elements will make these a must-have for both MR POTATO HEAD and MARVEL fans of all ages.  The Spuds are fully-functioning collectible toys with a variety of fun components to mix and match, or collectors can proudly display them thanks to their compact size and design intricacy.

The first series of the super-spuds includes Thor, Iron-Man, and Wolverine- and as far as kicking off the line goes, you can’t really get too much bigger than those three. Look for them at online retailers and in specialty stores starting this Summer.
