The Wii U launch has come and gone in the UK, did any of the exclusive titles crack the top ten?
According to a report published by industry website gamesindustry, the latest Nintendo console had zero exclusive titles cracking the top 10 sales chart in the UK this past launch week.
Oddly enough, New Super Mario Bros U wasn’t the best performing of the bunch either and neither was the big third-party offering ZombiU, which landed in 17th. So what performed the best for Nintendo?
Nintendo Land, believe it or not, came in at the number 11 spot on the charts, making it the best selling retail boxed game at the console’s launch. It was followed by everybody’s favorite plumber and his latest adventure at number 14.
Unsurprisingly, the top five spots on the charts were held by some pretty big blockbusters. Assassin’s Creed 3 and Hitman Absolution each dropped a place to fifth and fourth respectively, while FIFA 13 clocked in at third and the just released Far Cry 3 landed in second.
And what was the end all, be all for the week? (shocker!) Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 took the gold for the second week in a row.
