DST’s Thor figure returns, brings gladiatorial Planet Hulk figure with it

It’s Ragnarok! Well, in the Marvel Comics toy aisle at Disney Stores anyway. That’s thanks to the return of the Mighty Thor, and newcomer Planet Hulk.

Ragnarok, like a raging fire

With the third Thor movie right around the corner, it’s a solid move that DST should reissue its popular Thor figure. And that’s just what the company is doing. The mighty Asgardian is returning to plastic for a second run in Disney Stores.

The figure comes with a pair of interchangeable heads (one helmeted, one not) and his hammer Mjolnir. On top of that, the figure sports 16 points of articulation and will stand at 8″tall. He’s also packing one of the coolest accessories I’ve seen in the Marvel Select line from Diamond Select Toys- a “spinning” Mjolnir. It’s not actually spinning of course, but it looks like it is, and makes for some awesome display opportunities.

Also arriving though, is a brand new figure. Planet Hulk mimics the Jade Giant as he appeared in the storyline of the same name, in the pages of Marvel Comics. Tens inches tall, this Hulk comes with an “8-inch-long battle axe and a 5-inch tall spiked shield.” And like Thor, he has 16 points of articulation.

You can pre-order yourself a Planet Hulk as of today at either marvelshop.com or disneystore.com. He’ll be shipping a few weeks on, and is expected to hit stores on the 2nd of October. As for Thor, he’ll be landing next month as well.

Thor: Ragnarok, the feature film, arrives

in theaters on November 3rd.
