Deep Silver and 4A Games’ next-genification of the Metro FPS series is almost here, and if you’re confused by the changes made to the two games included in the overhaul, you’ll want to watch this new trailer.
There’s a lot to like there if you’re a Metro fan, and even more if you have yet to get into this great franchise. Moody and atmospheric, Metro is one of the best shooter series’ out there today and this double dose makes it even better looking than it already was, which is actually saying a fair bit.
Also changed for Metro Redux is the trio of play-styles that can be used for either game. Basically, you can play the second game as a more survival-horror experience (as the first game was intended to be) or play the first as a more all-out action title (as the second game plays normally. And then you can play either one with Ranger mode activated, which will kick you all over the place.
Metro Redux hits the Xbox One, PS4, and PC on August 26th.
