Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 gets Release Date

Good news for Castlevania fans, as Konami have announced Lords of Shadow 2 will be due for release February 25 2014 on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

The sequel, developed by MercurySteam, will feature an open world setting to explore, along with new weapons, such as the Void Sword, which absorbs life points from the enemy to recover your own health. Each weapon in the game has its own set of combos and utilizes a mastery system, which allows you to master each weapon you use depending on how often you use the combos for your weapons.

Having completed the first one myself, I can’t wait for what is set to be the closing chapter in dracula’s story. Meanwhile, I’ll have to keep myself busy with Mirrors of Fate HD (I still haven’t played the original release, as I don’t own a 3DS) which is due for release late October on Xbox Live and Playstation Network.

About MrAwkwardOne

I've been a gamer since I was a child (which is going way back when) the very first console I owned was the Sega Master System, during my time as a gamer I have pretty much come across nearly every console including the Bally Astrocade(which requiered cassette tapes to play games) so I have broad range of knowledge when it comes to video games. My favourite game of all time is between Shadow Hearts (a rare gem of an RPG released for the Playstation 2) and Final Fantasy VIII.

  1. Mirror is a great time. Right in line with LoS and loaded with awesome nods to classic Castlevanias.

  2. Symphony of the Night is my favourite in the series, so I’m especially excited about Alucard

  3. He’s really cool in Mirror. Just remember, LoS is a reboot really, so things aren’t the same as they were in the NES games 😉
Symphony is actually my favorite too btw, followed by Castlevania III and Simon’s Quest. Aw, I’m getting all nostalgic now…
