Dark Horse takes a bite out of the iBookstore

Publisher Dark Horse Comics’ graphic novel library is now available on Apple’s bookstore App.

iBookstore patrons take note- there’s a hell of a lot of great stuff to read now available from Dark Horse Comics. The publisher has just announced that their massive library of graphic novels is starting to trickle into the iBookstore right now.

“I’m thrilled that Dark Horse graphic novels are going to be available on the iBookstore,” said Dark Horse’s director of digital publishing, Mark Bernardi. “Our comics look beautiful on the iPad and iPhone. Look for more and more titles to be added every month.”

Right off the bat, the additions are plentiful as over 200 of the company’s best are now up and ready for purchase direct from the bookstore App. Expect to see such series’ as Mass Effect, Hellboy, Star Wars, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Serenity and Sin City all represented the next time you fire up your iDevice.

If you need some suggestions, might I recommend any of Dark Horse’s Conan or Hellboy tomes? They’re pretty much all great reading and an awesome way to spend a Summer afternoon (or a lunch break).
