One of the most exciting Mech combat games in years arrives at E3. Check out the trailer after the break.
Published by EA, Respawn’s Titanfall is a brand new take on the mech genre and seeks to infuse traditional multiplayer action with the massive set pieces and missions most often found in single-player campaigns.
“It’s an exciting time in the industry and it feels like the perfect time to be unveiling Titanfall,” said Vince Zampella, a Co-Creator of Call of Duty and Co-Founder of Respawn Entertainment. “Our passion at Respawn is games and we are focused on bringing something exciting to kick off the next generation of software.”
And exciting is something that Titanfall most definitely is with fast and agile mechs that you can hop into at any time, which is to say that you can play as the pilot at any time as well. The duality of the play style seems like it has to potential to make almost two games out of one as tactics and approach to different mission parameters change completely depending on if you play as the mech (called Titans) of the pilot.
Titanfall is an Xbox One exclusive and will hit retail in Spring of next year.
