Elden Ring’s expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree is out now

The shadow is once again falling across FromSoftware’s smash hit Elden Ring, bringing an all-new chapter to fans.

Shadows of the Erdtree

It’s been a while in the offing, but yes, Shadow of the Erdtree is finally here. The long-awaited expansion pack has landed for the 25 million-unit selling Elden Ring, which of course featured the talents of  director Hidetaka Miyazaki and Game of Thrones creator George R. R. Martin.

The pack brings in an entire new chapter for fans to play through in the tough as nails action title, sending players out of the Lands Between, and into the Realm of Shadow. It’s there that they’ll have to find the tarnished Miquella, and uncover the “dark side of the Elden Ring story”. Wait, isn’t all of Elden Ring’s story dark?

In ELDEN RING Shadow of the Erdtree players step into the Realm of Shadow to embark on a new adventure full of mysteries and danger, setting off on a journey where they will confront threatening bosses and discover new spells, abilities, weapons and armor. Following in the footsteps of Miquella, the once tarnished legions who rose to Elden Lord may now need to leave their grace behind, as they enter a sinister new chapter and unravel the dark side of the ELDEN RING story.

Bandai Namco press release

Ready for Elden Ring’s brutal action once again? Shadows of the Erdtree is up for sale right now, to be added onto all versions of the base game. If you have the Collector’s Edition, then you’ve already got it however, as the expansion was included in with that CE, as well as “bundles which include the base game”, according to publisher Bandai Namco.
