Jagged Alliance 3 patched to version 1.3, now features more “Guns and Things”

THQ Nordic is prepping Jagged Alliance 3 for its immanent console launch, and that means some new stuff for PC players too.

Jagged release

If you don’t know, turn-based strategy title Jagged Alliance 3 is about to leap to consoles. Originally launched on the PC this past summer, the well-received game is coming to Xbox and PlayStation platforms this week (November 16th, 2023), and publisher THQ Nordic has been prepping the game to make sure everything goes smoothly.

That includes a bump for that PC edition to version 1.3, and they’re not just talking ‘behind the scenes’ improvements either. In with everything else, is the in-world addition of Bobby Ray’s Guns and Things shop. Players will be able to place orders with the dubious business, and set those purchases for drop-shipping to any port in the Adjani valley.

How’s that for service?

We are delighted to announce the expansion of Bobby Ray’s Guns and Things to a new business region in Grand Chien! This means that the world’s most notorious online store is now accessible in Jagged Alliance 3. For mercenary commanders who can pay upfront, the store offers a wide range of weapons, ammunition, and professional mercenary equipment, both new and used. Rest assured, a bulletproof vest remains effective even after taking a few hits*. The courageous delivery team at Bobby Ray’s is ready to dispatch your order to any port along the western coast of the Adjani valley!

*neither Bobby Ray’s Guns and Things, THQ Nordic, nor Haemimont Games will be liable for any lost hitpoints. The use of second-hand equipment is at your own mercenary’s risk.

How ’bout some musical accompaniment?

Along with the patch and ol’ Bobby Ray, THQ Nordic has also released a neat little mini-doc that digs into the game’s score. If you’ve ever wondered what went into music design for gaming, it’s neat to watch, detailing some of the ideas that went into creating the audio for various moments in the campaign.

This apparently wasn’t a small-scale operation either, as Haemimont Games’ brought in quite a few musicians and even a musical group of the recording.
